SUMMER CLERKSHIPS

Our summer clerkship program gives you an insight into what being a lawyer is really about.

The rotational program encourages you to be involved in the work of our firm and to gain exposure in different areas of legal practice.

We arrange for a partner to act as your mentor and appoint a solicitor as your buddy. Your buddy is there to answer all your questions and is accessible throughout your time with the firm.

The program objective is for you to gain practical legal experience while actively participating on current matters. You may also be given the opportunity to attend Court hearings, undertake research tasks and present at our in house seminars for professional development. As a member of our team, you will also be invited to participate in the firm’s social events and in our in house Continued Learning Education program.

The program is designed for students at the end of their penultimate year of study.

Sydney

The program is ten weeks in duration and runs from 1 December 2008 to 6 February 2008. The program involves rotations through both our commercial and litigation divisions. At the conclusion of your clerkship, we may offer you an opportunity for further employment.

All positions for 2008 have been filled.

The program is four weeks in duration and runs from 23 November 2009 to 18 December 2009. The program involves rotations through both our commercial and litigation divisions. At the conclusion of your clerkship, we may offer you an opportunity for further employment, through our Trainee program.
